About the test
What is MTSE?
एमटीएसई क्या है?
The Mediminds Talent Search Exam is our annual scholarship test, held in schools across Nagaur. It finds capable students early, rewards them with scholarships, and shows every family where the child stands, subject by subject, before the NEET, IIT-JEE and Board years begin.
Fair, machine-checked
Answers are marked on OMR sheets and checked by scanner against set-wise answer keys (Sets A–D). Any unclear sheet is reviewed by hand.
Know where you stand
Every student gets a scorecard with rank, percentile and marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and Mental Ability.
Who can appear
Students currently in Class 8, 9, 10, 11 or 12, from CBSE, RBSE or any other board. Class 11–12 students choose their stream (PCB, PCM, Commerce or Other).
Medium
Question paper in Hindi and English. Choose your medium when you register.
Where & when
In participating schools across Nagaur between 05.12.2026 and 25.12.2026. Your school, date and room are printed on your admit card.

All questions are multiple choice with four options (A–D). Duration: 60 min.
Marking scheme
- +4for each correct answer
- −1for each wrong answer
- 0for each unattempted question
Mark only one bubble per question. A question with more than one bubble marked counts as wrong.
Ties in rank are broken by
Higher marks in Biology / Mathematics, then Chemistry, Physics and Mental Ability; then fewer wrong answers; then the older candidate.
Student instructions

- First, carefully fill in the Registration Form.
- Enter all the required details correctly in the Admit Card.
- Fill in all the required details on the OMR Sheet carefully and accurately: your 7-digit Roll Number and Paper Set (A/B/C/D).
- Cut the Registration Form along the marked line at the top. After the exam, hand it to the teacher along with the OMR Sheet.
- After the exam, take the Question Paper and file home with you.
Important: make sure every detail is filled in correctly, and check everything once more before you hand in your documents. Use a black ballpoint pen and fill each bubble completely. Do not fold the OMR sheet.

When is MTSE 2026?
The test is held school by school between 05.12.2026 and 25.12.2026. Your own test date, centre and reporting time are printed on your admit card.
Who is eligible for MTSE 2026?
Any student currently in Class 8, 9, 10, 11 or 12, from any board (CBSE, RBSE or other). Class 11–12 students select their stream (PCB, PCM, Commerce or Other) when registering.
What is the exam pattern?
50 multiple-choice questions in 1 hour, for a total of 200 marks (4 marks per question), across Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and Mental Ability.
Is there negative marking?
Yes. Each wrong answer deducts 1 mark. A correct answer earns 4 marks and an unattempted question scores 0.
In which language is the paper?
Hindi and English. Choose your medium when you register.
What should I bring on test day?
A printed admit card and a black ballpoint pen. Mobile phones, calculators and other electronic devices are not allowed in the exam hall.
What do I hand in after the test?
The cut-out Registration Form together with your OMR Sheet, to the invigilating teacher. Take the Question Paper and file home with you.
I lost my admit card or Roll Number. What do I do?
Download the admit card again from the “Admit card” tab with your Roll Number and Date of Birth. If you don't remember your Roll Number, call 92570 36700 from your registered mobile number.
How are results declared?
Results are published on this website. Enter your Roll Number and Date of Birth in the “Result” tab to see and download your scorecard with rank, percentile and subject-wise marks.
How do I log in to the student or parent portal?
The student username is your Registration Number (for example REG2026000123). The parent username is the same number followed by “-G”. You get your first password when you register, and you will be asked to set your own password at first login.
